The HAKII Mix is a headband headphone that plays sound to your ears through the air rather than plugging them. Two 22mm drivers sit just above the ears and HAKII's patented abTube directional sound keeps the audio pointed at you, so you hear music clearly while still hearing the road, the gym or the person next to you. It weighs 90g, is rated IPX5 and doubles as a sweatband during hard training.

How to set up & use

Charge the headband over USB-C before first use; a full charge takes about 1.5 hours. Power it on to enter pairing mode and select HAKII MIX in your phone's Bluetooth menu. Slide the band over your head so the two speaker arms rest just above your ears, then use the magnetic clips on either side to adjust the tension. The three buttons control playback, calls and your phone's voice assistant.

Connectivity & compatibility

Connects over Bluetooth 5.3 to any Bluetooth audio device, including iPhone and Android phones, tablets and laptops, with AAC and SBC audio coding. Working range is up to 15 metres with no obstacles. Charging is over USB-C. No app is required for basic use.

Care & safety

Keep the volume well below maximum and take regular listening breaks to reduce the risk of hearing fatigue and long-term hearing damage.
The open-ear design deliberately leaves your ears uncovered so you can still hear your surroundings, but you should still keep the volume moderate near traffic.
IPX5 covers sweat and splashes only, so do not swim or shower in the headband and do not submerge it.
Rinse or wipe the sweatband after intense sessions and let it dry fully before storing.
Charge only with a compliant USB-C charger, and never charge the headband while it is damp.
Keep it out of direct sun and away from heat, and do not over-stretch or twist the band.
