The LePresso Multi-Temperature Illuminated Glass Kettle holds 1.7 litres of water behind a clear glass wall that lights up as it heats. Five preset temperatures from 50°C to 100°C mean you can pour water at the right heat for green tea, black tea, pour-over coffee or baby formula instead of always boiling and waiting for it to cool.

How to set up & use

Before first use, fill the kettle to the maximum mark with clean water, boil it once and pour it away to rinse out any manufacturing residue. Place the base on a dry, level surface with clearance above and behind for steam. Fill the kettle with fresh cold water between the minimum and maximum marks, close the lid firmly and seat the kettle on the base. Switch on at the panel, select the temperature you want and let it run. Use the keep-warm option if you want the water held at that temperature. Lift the kettle straight up off the base to pour, and switch off and unplug when finished.

Care & safety

Hot surfaces and steam. The glass body, the lid and the steam leaving the spout become very hot. Hold the kettle only by its handle, keep hands and face away from the spout and lid while it is heating, and open the lid only after the kettle has cooled.

Never immerse the base. The power base, cord and electrical contacts must never be put in water or any other liquid, and must not be rinsed under a tap or placed in a dishwasher.

Unplug before cleaning. Switch off, disconnect from the mains and let the kettle cool completely before cleaning or descaling.

Do not run dry. Never switch the kettle on when it is empty or below the minimum mark, and never fill above the maximum mark, as boiling water can be forced out of the spout.

Keep away from children. Position the kettle and its cord well back from the counter edge and out of reach of children, and never leave it operating unattended.

Wipe the outside with a soft damp cloth and descale the interior regularly with a suitable descaling solution or diluted citric acid, then rinse thoroughly. Do not use abrasive pads or harsh chemicals on the glass.
