A geared drive rotates all ten skewers through a full 360° continuously, so every side meets the heat for the same length of time and nothing ends up charred on one face and pale on the other. The 900W element gets up to temperature quickly, a tempered glass cover keeps the heat and the spatter in, and the Teflon-coated tray underneath drains the fat away instead of letting the meat sit in it. Set the timer anywhere up to 60 minutes and it shuts itself off when the time is up.

Care & safety

• Hot surfaces. The heating element, skewers, glass cover and tray become very hot during and after cooking. Handle only by the designated handles and let the unit cool completely before touching any other part.
• Never leave the grill unattended while it is switched on, even with the timer set. Keep children and pets away from the appliance while it is in use.
• Always unplug the grill from the mains and let it cool fully before cleaning, removing the tray or handling the skewers.
• Never immerse the main unit, the power cord or the plug in water. Wash only the skewers, the drip tray and the glass cover, by hand.
• Place the grill on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface with plenty of clearance above and to the sides. Keep it away from curtains, paper, tea towels and anything else flammable.
• Do not use the grill outdoors, in a damp area or near a sink. Do not operate it with a damaged cord or plug.
• Do not cover the appliance while it is operating, and do not use it inside a cabinet or under a low shelf.
• Do not use metal scourers or abrasive cleaners on the Teflon-coated tray; a soft sponge and warm soapy water is enough.
• Make sure the skewers are properly seated in the drive gears before switching on, and do not overload them.
• Unplug the appliance when it is not in use, and never pull the plug out by the cord.
