The Porodo Mars Outdoor Solar Sensor Light gives a driveway, garden path or doorway bright, wire-free light that pays for itself in sunlight. Thirty-six LEDs put out up to 600 lumens, and a built-in motion sensor with a 6 to 10 metre range wakes the light as soon as someone approaches. A light sensor handles switching automatically at dusk and dawn, and an IPX4-rated housing means it can stay outside.

How to set up & use

Choose a spot where the solar panel gets direct sun for most of the day and the sensor faces the area you want covered. Mount the light using one of the three supported installation methods, then use the rotating joints to angle the head and panel. Let it charge in daylight before the first night of use, pick one of the three lighting modes, and leave the light sensor to handle switching on at dusk and off at dawn.

Connectivity & compatibility

This is a fully standalone outdoor light. There is no app, no Bluetooth or Wi-Fi pairing and no mains wiring to install; it charges from its own solar panel and is triggered by its built-in motion and light sensors. It works anywhere you can mount it with reasonable sun exposure.

Care & safety

Keep the solar panel clean; wipe off dust, sand and leaves regularly so charging is not reduced.
The housing is IPX4 rated for splashing water, so do not submerge it or aim a pressure washer at it.
Mount it securely on a solid surface and check the fixing occasionally, especially in windy conditions.
Do not look directly into the LEDs at close range when the light is at full brightness.
Avoid installing it where it will be blocked from daylight, as it will not charge properly.
Do not open the housing or attempt to replace the internal battery yourself.
