The Porodo Soundtec CRON is a wired USB-C earphone for phones and laptops that no longer have a headphone jack. A 10mm dynamic driver in each ear covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz, an inline microphone and multi-function button handle calls and playback, and a slide control adjusts volume without reaching for the phone. The 1.2 m woven cable resists the tangling and fraying that ends most wired earphones.

Connectivity & compatibility

Wired USB-C connector, 1.2 m cable. Works with USB-C phones, tablets and laptops that support USB audio. Impedance is 16 ohms +/-15% and sensitivity 96 +/-3 dB, so phone and laptop outputs drive them comfortably. Microphone sensitivity is 35-38 dB.

Care & safety

Unplug by the connector housing, never by pulling the cable. Keep the ear tips clean and dry, and wipe them occasionally with a dry cloth. Do not coil the cable tightly around the phone — that is what breaks the wires near the plug. Keep the volume moderate; prolonged listening at high levels can damage hearing. Do not wear them where you need to hear traffic.
