Powerology's 200W Universal Car Power Inverter turns a single vehicle socket into a full charging station for the road. A universal AC socket handles laptops and other mains-powered kit, while a retractable USB-C cable, a second USB-C port, a USB-A port and a DC output cover everything else. Its cup-holder shape, PC and aluminium alloy frame and 9-layer safety system make it a permanent fixture rather than a temporary fix.

How to set up & use

Slot the inverter into a cup holder and plug its connector into the vehicle's 12V or 24V socket. Start the engine, then check the LED display for a healthy voltage reading before connecting anything. Plug your AC appliance into the universal socket, or pull out the retractable USB-C cable and connect a phone, tablet or laptop. Keep the total draw within the rated output and the inverter manages the rest.

Connectivity & compatibility

Input is DC 12V to 24V through the vehicle's cigarette-lighter socket. Outputs are a universal 220V AC socket, a built-in retractable USB-C cable rated up to 45W, a separate USB-C port up to 35W, a USB-A port up to 22.5W, a 12V/3A DC output and a pass-through lighter socket rated up to 100W. Total combined output is 138W. It works with any device that charges over these standards, including iPhone, Samsung and other Android phones, tablets and USB-C laptops.

The 60cm USB-C charging cable is built into the unit and retracts into the body, so nothing separate is needed to start charging. Powerology does not publish a full accessory list for this model.

Care & safety

Never exceed the rated output of 150W on a 12V supply or 200W on 24V, and do not connect heaters, kettles or other high-draw appliances.
Keep the inverter in an open, ventilated position and away from seat fabric, blankets and paper that could trap heat.
Do not run high-draw appliances with the engine switched off, as this will flatten the vehicle battery quickly.
Disconnect the inverter and unplug connected devices before leaving the vehicle.
Keep it dry and out of prolonged direct sunlight, and never handle it with wet hands.
Stop using it immediately if the housing becomes very hot, smells of burning or the display behaves erratically.
