This is the genuine Xiaomi main brush cover for the Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop Essential, part number BHR4249TY, in gray. The cover is the framed panel on the underside of the robot that holds the main brush in its bay and protects it during cleaning. It is not optional - the robot needs the cover fitted to run properly, so a cracked cover or one whose clips no longer latch has to be replaced.

How to set up & use

Switch the robot off and turn it upside down on a soft surface. Release the latches on the existing main brush cover and lift it away, then remove the main brush and clear any hair or dust from the bay. Seat the main brush back into its bearings so it turns freely, then place the new cover over it and press until both latches click fully home. Turn the robot the right way up and run a short cycle to check the brush spins normally and the cover stays seated.

Care & safety

Switch the robot off and unplug the charging dock before you remove or refit the brush cover.
Let the robot cool before handling it if it has just finished a long cleaning run.
Use only a cover intended for the Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop Essential; a cover from another model will not latch and can leave the brush loose.
Never run the robot with the cover missing, cracked or only partly latched.
Wipe the cover with a dry or barely damp cloth and let it dry fully before refitting; do not soak it or put it in a dishwasher.
