How to set up & use

Switch the purifier off and unplug it from the wall. Open the filter compartment cover, grip the pull strip on the old filter and draw it horizontally out of the compartment. Take the new filter out of its sealed plastic bag and remove all packaging material from it - running the purifier with the wrapping still on will trigger a motor error. Slide the new filter in along the same path with its pull strip on top, close the filter compartment cover securely, then plug the purifier back in and switch it on. Open the Xiaomi Home app and confirm that the filter life now reads full.

Not compatible with other Xiaomi purifiers. Xiaomi states that this filter cartridge is only compatible with the two models listed above. It is cylindrical and the same height as the earlier standard Xiaomi filters, but wider, so it cannot be fitted into older purifier models. It is not listed as compatible with the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact, the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Pro or the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier Elite - those models each take their own filter. If you are unsure, check the model name printed on the label of your purifier before ordering.

Care & safety

Switch the purifier off and unplug it from the mains before opening the filter compartment or changing the filter.
Keep the new filter sealed in its plastic bag until the moment you fit it, so it does not collect dust in storage.
Do not wash, vacuum or reuse this cartridge - it is a single-use consumable and washing it will ruin the filter media. Replace it instead.
Replace the filter at the interval Xiaomi states - every 6 to 12 months - and sooner if the purifier or the app tells you the remaining life is low.
After fitting, check the filter life in the Xiaomi Home app and reset the filter-life counter there if it has not already updated.
Store spare filters flat in a dry place away from damp and direct sunlight.
