One extra metre of colour LED lighting for an existing Xiaomi Smart Lightstrip. It clips onto the end of the strip you already have and behaves as part of the same light — same colours, same scenes, same app control. Add as many as you need to run a strip all the way around a desk, a shelf, a headboard or a TV wall.

How to set up & use

Switch off and unplug the existing Xiaomi Smart Lightstrip first. Connect the extension to the free end of the installed strip using the connector, checking the arrows and contacts line up, then peel the backing and press the extension into place along your surface. Plug the lightstrip back in — the extension lights up with the rest of the run, with no extra pairing needed in the app.

Connectivity & compatibility

This is an extension only and will not work on its own — it must be connected to a Xiaomi Smart Lightstrip, which is sold separately. It has no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or app pairing of its own; all control happens through the base lightstrip and its app, which supports Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Care & safety

Unplug the lightstrip at the mains before connecting or disconnecting an extension.
Not waterproof — keep it away from bathrooms, sinks, outdoors and any high-humidity area.
Do not cut, pierce or bend the strip sharply; kinking it can break the circuit inside.
Clean and dry the mounting surface before sticking the strip down, and wipe it with a dry cloth only.
Do not exceed eight extensions on one lightstrip or connect it to a non-Xiaomi controller.
Keep the strip away from heat sources and do not cover it with fabric or insulation.

Anyone who already owns a Xiaomi Smart Lightstrip and has run out of length partway around a desk, shelf, bed or TV unit.
