The Xiaomi Soundbar 2.0 is a slim two-channel bar built to replace the thin sound that comes out of most flat TVs. It uses a pair of 45 x 80mm racetrack full-range drivers rated at 2 x 12W, with a stated maximum of 2 x 15W, behind a wrap-around metal mesh cover. You can connect it by optical, SPDIF, coaxial or 3.5mm AUX cable, or wirelessly over Bluetooth 5.3, and the wall-mount hardware is included in the box.

How to set up & use

Decide first whether you are standing the bar on a surface or wall-mounting it; if mounting, use the supplied screws and expansion tubes. Connect it to your TV using the included SPDIF cable, or use optical, coaxial or the 3.5mm AUX input, then plug it into mains power. Set your TV audio output to external speakers. For wireless playback, put the soundbar into pairing mode and select it in the Bluetooth menu on your phone or tablet.

Connectivity & compatibility

Wireless connection is Bluetooth 5.3, which works with any Bluetooth-capable phone, tablet, laptop or TV regardless of operating system. Wired inputs are 3.5mm AUX in, SPDIF in, coaxial in and optical in. There is no app, Wi-Fi or smart-assistant integration; it is a plug-and-play audio device. Mains input is 100-240V, 50/60Hz, so it works on Kuwaiti mains voltage.

Care & safety

This is a UK three-pin plug model, so you will need a plug adapter to use it on standard Kuwaiti sockets.
Keep the volume at a moderate level; sustained loud listening can damage hearing, particularly for children.
Keep the soundbar away from water, drinks and damp areas, and never place liquids on top of it.
Keep it away from heat sources, direct sunlight and enclosed spaces where heat can build up.
Do not block the ports or cover the mesh grille with cloth or objects; the enclosure needs airflow to dissipate heat.
Wipe the mesh with a dry or barely damp soft cloth only, and unplug it from the mains before cleaning.
